Wendy Parciak adored books so much as a child that she established her own library for other kids in the neighborhood.  Because she’s worked as a wilderness ranger, a field biologist, and a scientist, she enjoys reading crazy fantasy-adventure stories that have something to do with the real world.  She especially loves middle-grade fiction because she and her son have read so many terrific books together.  Her current favorite is Challenger Deep (Shusterman).  Wendy reads books in all genres, and tries to find something positive and something constructive to say about every single one!

Janet Zupans‘ family moved every two years when she was a kid.  She was often the stranger, which was lonely, especially at first.  Nothing gave her more comfort or hope than getting lost in the worlds of books.  One favorite was A Wrinkle in Time (L’Engle).  After college, Janet served as Poet in Residence for Meadow Hill School, where she discovered middle graders who rocked with creativity and spontaneity.  She is excited about the great fun ahead with Kids Eye Books, where young readers are featured for their insights and celebrations of new and favorite stories.
